If you're like to vanquish demons in Brutal Doom with Doom 2016 weapons you can download the mod by heading over here. I would even go as far as to say that the puny pistol feels a lot more powerful in Brutal Doom than it did in Doom 2016, and given the technology gap between them that's quite the achievement! I haven't given the mod a try yet, so my opinion might not be worth very much in this regard, but its astounding to see how well emulated the modern weapons are within Brutal Doom.

As an added bonus, there's a 33% chance for Soulspheres and Megaspheres to be replaced by a Demon Rune that transforms you into a Baron of Hell (with the Revenant coming in the near future). You can then further upgrade the Shotgun and Machinegun by picking up Field Drones, power-ups that have replaced Night Vision for this version of Brutal Doom. The current version of the 'Doom 2016 weapons' mod contains the Pistol, Shotgun, Super Shotgun, Repeater, Machinegun, Minigun, Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Gauss Cannon, and naturally, the BFG. It might not sound very impressive, but wait until you see them in action with the recently released 'weapon test' video: Naturally, when I said 'inspiration' I meant that the mod takes all of the weapons from Doom 2016 and lovingly translates them to work within the confines of Brutal Doom's tech. Things are a bit different this time around, however, as the mod takes heavy inspiration from Doom 2016, rather than the original FPS classic.
